We are looking for an enthusiastic employee with skills and experience as a PSV Technician to join our dedicated team.

Applicants must be skilled and have prior experience of; MOT preparation, diagnosing, repairing, servicing and maintaining public service or heavy goods vehicles to a high standard.

Essential requirements: Qualified at NVQ level 2 or equivalent (preferably heavy vehicles). Experienced and able to undertake all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair to a high standard. Have a high regard for producing quality workmanship. Current and valid car licence. PSV licence desirable (successful candidates will be trained to attain PSV licence). About the role

We are looking for someone with a flair for creating cost effective and robust timetables, duties and rotas while meeting legal and contractual conditions. You will take a proactive approach to reviewing existing timetables and schedules and play an active role in monitoring the operation and commercial success of services, negotiating and implementing changes as appropriate and developing the business case for new ideas.

There will also be the opportunity to assist with a variety of other commercial office tasks, including helping to maintain the associated systems, compiling statistical information for commercial research and coordinating work with our business development, marketing and roadside publicity teams.

We use Omnibus scheduling software so prior experience with this would be an advantage but is not essential.

PSV Mechanic/Fitter

We are looking for a qualified & suitably experienced PCV mechanic able to carry out vehicle fault diagnosis repair to a large fleet of Volvo/Mercedes coaches. Other duties likely to include are:

  • Scheduled vehicle maintenance
  • unscheduled minor and major repairs
  • MOT preparations
  • completion of paperwork to DVSA standards
  • Breakdown assistance
  • Emergency out-of-hours assistance
  • Assistance in keeping up with H&S legislation
  • Any other reasonable tasks as deemed necessary

Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent as minimum and full driving licence is essential and PCV licence would be preferable but not essential.

Hours of work are based of 45 hours week, on early/late shift rotation: 05:00-15:00/09:00-19:00 Mon-Fri. You would also be required to work on our shift rota based on 1 week per month.

 

Remuneration Package

Private health care after qualification period, protective wear including overalls and footwear provided. 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. Accommodation could be provided.

Job Type : Full-time

Salary : £40,000.00 /year
