Ipswich Buses is looking to recruit an experienced and committed individual to lead its engineering team to deliver ongoing improvements in efficiency, while maintaining the highest levels of technical and presentational standards. A fleet of some 80 vehicles is operated on commercial and contracted bus and coach services throughout Ipswich and the surrounding areas.
The company is wholly owned by Ipswich Borough Council and benefits from the commitment and support of its shareholder, who wants to continue to see the profitable improvement and reinvestment in bus services across the local area.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering results by leading and motivating your people. With fleet maintenance and diagnostic experience, you will be able to embrace and deliver change while working with suppliers to oversee procurement contracts applicable to our fleet’s operation and depot premises.
The position will attract 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays, and the post holder will have the opportunity to join a defined contribution pension scheme with life insurance cover. Free travel for the successful applicant and their immediate family on Ipswich Bus services will also be available.
