The Lucketts Group – an industry leader and awarding winning travel and passenger transport company, is seeking an Operations lead (Board level) to join the Directors Group, during a period of fantastic ambitious growth – in which this year alone, saw the successful acquisitions of two further companies which added 30% growth to the Group’s multimillion pound portfolio.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and management of our multi-sited, complex and challenging passenger transport operations. Working closely with the Managing Director, and Directors’ group members, the role will deliver high performing operational results, continuous improvement, whilst maximising resource efficiency, and achieving set Company objectives and targets. In addition, the role will ensure robust interface and unified approaches across all operational functions Group-wide.
A proven, outstanding and inspirational leader used to overseeing a fast paced and challenging environment, whilst delivering multiple business demands within contractual frameworks and deadlines. You will have a proven track record as an operations high performer, skilful negotiator and communicator, influencer and problem solver. You will be used to working and delivering to board level responsibility and accountability. To your reporting teams (Ops, Compliance and Training) you will be a supportive, inspiring, motivational role model, who leads by example, and commits to ensuring team continuous professional development.
You will need to be cool under pressure, thrive on hard work and enjoy a challenge. You will be a professional, who is supportive of colleagues, calm, and takes the unexpected in their stride. You will also be prepared to “roll up the sleeves” to support your team to meet the “day to day” operational demands whilst always maintaining the strategic perspective.
Experience within the passenger transport industry desirable but not essential.
