As such, we are looking for someone to help spread the word to encourage commercial customer growth across our services and to locally develop our brand image to make our services the preferred choice for local travel. We are significantly increasing our marketing spend over the coming year and are looking for someone to take full advantage of this opportunity.
Manage all marketing for the brand and public relations support for the brand’s products and services to achieve the marketing strategy and associated targets
Develop the marketing strategy for the brand and prepare the annual marketing plan and budget in support of the company and Go-Ahead Group objectives
Plan and deliver new service and product launches across all media
Monitor and report on marketing spend by activity and evaluate campaign spend and effectiveness
Develop new and creative ways of reaching existing and new audiences and attracting them to travel by bus with a focus on digital and social channels
Use a variety of forms of market research to help inform decision making
Support other parts of the business with marketing skills and input, in particular, corporate communications, recruitment, and internal communications, where appropriate
A confident, dynamic, energetic, committed and self-motivated leader
A strong work and team ethic
Previous experience of working in a relevant marketing role, ideally in transport
Strong project management, budgetary, communications, and organisational skills
Strong experience of digital and social marketing
Creative and willing to test and develop new approaches, break new ground and not be limited by industry norms
Able to work quickly and productively and to deadlines
Positively impacting on the journeys of 64 million journeys a year with the City Operator of the Year
