Job Description

Location: Stevenage

Arriva Southern Counties is part of Arriva’s UK Bus division and locally operates some 750 buses in an area stretching from Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent and Medway to Surrey.

The safety and reliability of our buses is vital in making sure we can provide the highest levels of service to our customers.

We are recruiting for a Skilled PCV/HGV Engineer to deal with a full range of systems, your daily activities will include diagnosis and repairs, routine examinations, servicing and parts replacement in accordance with all relevant Engineering Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements 

The successful applicant will already be experienced within motor vehicle engineering with a C&G Level 2 or equivalent NVQ qualification and be willing to undertake further training.

Knowledge of either PCV/HGV would be an advantage. You will also possess excellent diagnostic skills and be a good communicator as there is emphasis on team working.

Familiarity of the D.V.S.A requirements would be desirable.

A full UK driving licence is essential and a PCV licence is advantageous.

This position requires shift working on a 5 over 7 basis, Monday to Sunday; day shift, early shift and late shift.
