Operations Manager – Midlands
We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead our Derby and Tamworth depots. Managing a fleet of approximately 20 vehicles, you will drive operational excellence, supported by a Depot Supervisor and working in tandem with the Regional Business Development Manager (BDM).

 

  • Operational Growth: Partner with the BDM and Sales teams to convert enquiries and expand service volume across the Midlands.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain rigorous operational compliance and documentation in collaboration with our Vehicle Engineering Division.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of our driving team and support staff.
  • Logistics & Planning: Coordinate vehicle and driver allocations, ensuring seamless integration with our national operations and planning teams.
  • Service Standards: Uphold the highest standards of vehicle presentation and staff professionalism.

 

Requirements

  • PSV Management CPC and a full PSV Driving Licence (Essential).
  • Familiarity with Distinctive Systems (Coach Manager), Trutac, and Merridale Fuelworks is highly advantageous.
  • A proactive approach to the time-sensitive and flexible nature of the transport industry.
